Man of virtue

A man of substance, so profound
Character and charm seemingly abound
How greatly sweet, how sweetly grand
Worthy of admiration, respected by men

The magnetic force, remarkably compelling
Yet the soft tenderness is much alluring
Wisdom and compassion beyond all books
Reforming thoughts, soothes affliction looks

Restoring hopes and reassuring dreams
Reaching out selflessly from within
Adding shades of love unceasingly
Leaving trails of fragrance pleasingly

How many men can be that inspiring?
Truly a darling… overwhelming
A man of virtue touches one’s soul
God’s blessings upon him, manifold

This poem, written in 2004, and published in “Immortal Verses” by The International Library of Poetry for worldwide distribution, is dedicated to my beloved son and hero with the following sentiments: “He’s a God-fearing child with a sweet spirit. May he be inspired by the characteristics of the “Man of Virtue” and be encouraged to follow by example. But most important of all, may he abide in Christ just as a branch connects to the vine and lives a fulfilled life glorifying God. I love you, son… Muaksz!”

A Prayer for My Son

Heavenly Father, I lift my son to You, asking that he may experience every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 1:3). Fill him with all the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:19), that he may walk in reverence before You, obedient in heart, and steadfast in faith. May his thoughts, words and actions reflect the character of a child of God, and may he enjoy a clear conscience and unbroken fellowship with You, continually being transformed into the likeness of Christ.

In Your perfect wisdom, produce in him a harvest of righteousness and peace. Carry him through every storm, cushioning every blow with Your tender mercy. May he know your tangible consolation in times of trial. Fill him, Lord, with the fruit of Your Spirit, that he may be a blessing to all who cross his path. May he be like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers (Psalm 1:3).

Thank You Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

*LOVE YOU LOADS SON!*
Thank You Abba Father for my bundle of joy has grown up to be a fine young man!
