Stepping into the Holy Land was a dream come true – the very ground where Jesus once walked. I counted it a sacred privilege to stand on such holy ground. With deep excitement and anticipation, I looked forward to see the Scriptures come alive before my eyes.
This spiritual journey was significant to me. In the days leading up to the trip, I spent much time in prayer, earnestly longing to encounter Jesus in a personal way. Though I carried certain expectations, His sudden and unexpected visitation still took me by surprise.
It happened while crossing the Sea of Galilee – the site of Jesus’ many miracles and teachings. Desiring a moment of solitude to meditate on the Lord, I quietly moved away from the group and made my way toward the bow of the boat. My heart’s intent was simple: to worship Him and simply asked for more of Him, knowing this moment might never come again.
Then, lo and behold, His presence came – so strong, so tangible, it felt almost physical – unexpected, yet undeniable. The intensity of His nearness overwhelmed me. Tears welled up and blurred my vision – tears of deep gratitude and unspeakable joy. In that sacred moment, everything else faded away. It was just Jesus and me, standing side by side, overlooking the waters where He once walked.
The Lord’s visit, though brief, assured me of His unfailing love and constant presence. He saw the longing of my heart and fulfilled it according to Psalm 37:4 ESV (Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart). He blessed me beyond what I could have asked for – an encounter so profound, so unexpected – HIS HOLY “TANGIBLE” PRESENCE!
Truly, He alone satisfies completely. He alone is enough and He is the One who “is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think” (Ephesians 3:20). Thank You, Lord Jesus, for dropping by to visit me in Your Holy Land. I’m humbled and my heart is full.
