“Why you think Jesus was such an Effective Teacher”
Jesus was an effective teacher because He was certain of His calling and ‘Agape Love’ was the foundation of His ministry. He was genuinely interested to impart the knowledge from His Father and proclaim His message (Luke 4:17-18). Moreover, He lived what He taught. There was consistency between His life and His word – a constant visual aid to His followers.
Despite being youthful in age, Jesus taught with authority (Luke 4:32), under the anointing of the Holy Spirit (Luke 4:18) and totally dependent on God (John 7:16). His teaching was radical and filled with wisdom. Even the religious teachers and leaders called Him Rabbi because His knowledge demonstrated great understanding. His teaching was simple yet insightful and He took advantage of teachable moments. He frequently taught in parables to illustrate profound, divine truths which involved putting a thing alongside another so that a lesson could be learned by examining the contrast between the two.
The result of His teaching gave life (John 6:63) and brought great encouragement (John 14:26). It taught the basis of all Christian ethics and when obeyed, brings great success in life. How did the people react to His teaching? Matthew 7:28 tells us that they were amazed because He taught as one who had authority, and not as their teachers of the law.
In conclusion, there is no other teacher greater than Jesus. He was and is the most effective teacher of all time for not only did He teach the Word of God, He is the Word of God!
